Chatham Light, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts was established in 1808, the second light on Cape Cod. A morning walk on the long beach peninsula with a coffee in hand brought me to a place where I could sit and quietly think about my composition. The beach was all mine as the crowds had not yet arrived. Looking back at the lighthouse I imagined the second cast iron tower that was moved in the 1930’s up the coast to Eastham (now Nauset Light). My search for the best angle was finally realized after wading waist-high into the surprisingly warm water. Next time I thought, I’ll be bringing my wife Erin and the kids for great family day at Chatham Light Beach.

The colors are bold and striking with a solid ink coverage reminiscent of silk- screen printing

Beautiful Depiction of the Lighthouse

This is my second Alan Claude Lighthouse purchase and I could not be happier. The depiction of the Chatham Lighthouse is spot on. Great memory from my childhood summers spent on the Cape.
